Despair is in the Air

I can't lie. Today I am broken. Actually I broke yesterday...
but today. I can't....
I can't pick myself.
Quiet storm.

Yesterday I found out that he was cheating, and has been lying to me about it for the last three years. Probably. "Ooh love I'm a fool to believe in you, 'cause I don't know...no I don't know anymore..."

I am releasing my self.
I just wish that someone would've told me. (But she did and I didn't believe her)

It hurts. Because I know this is what I get. This untruthfulness began with me. Or maybe it didn't. But, I can't blame the balance. I can't blame anything. These tears are to be tasted. These years were not spent wasted. But now I've gotta go.

I've been misreading the universe, thinking that I'm not supposed to be here... but I am.
I let a man trick me into believe I was inferior. Isn't that sad? That what he said about me was right. That I could not be saved without him. That he's supposed to be helping me. Helping me hurt? Stay in the back, don't say nothing... be my rib. I can't DO that anymore. It's KILLING me.

The funny thing is I can't even find him! LMAO. Stupid girl to believe he'd at LEAST be honest... let alone call me.

Moving on SUCKS. Especially when so much of my life revolves around him, my spirit grows out of our connection. I can see the lesson plain as day now and I wonder why it took this to get me here. But I don't wonder 'cause I know.

The Tree of Life For REAL!!

AMEN

And it all makes sense. Kemi people were so surreal.
The Original Man was unity. Of all of these things liftin up the Most High. I can't get mad at brothers that swear that they are everything... 'cause they are lol.

As a young lady I was rather perturbed with the idea that woman was made for man and vice versa, because I felt like it was such a cop-out, a route to an empty existence. But as a woman I love the fact that I get to be devoted to a GREAT man. My place in it all is love. So that's what I'm gonna bring.

YEP. We'll save the world, just you watch!

the seed.
The conditioned is the flower and the fruit
Knowledge is the branch
and the truth is the root
Look and see where the root is;
happiness shall be yours when
you come to the root
it will lead you to the branch, the leaf, the flower, and the fruit.

"The Holy Grail"

The Holy Grail is the womb, and it's contents menstrual blood, the sacred substance, "soma" the elixir of Life.

The Moon Goddess rules the Oceans, the tides, the Sacred Menstrual Periods of Women. Yes, you heard me correctly. We need to Honor our bodies as we as individual women are SAcred Vessels of the Divine. We are each Goddesses in microcosm.
Your periods, are essentially what marks us as females,it is what makes us women, this fact that we bleed.
"Only women Bleed" was a song by ALice Cooper in the '60's which I believe was the only song to ever address this topic and be a hit, in the history of pop music.
We bleed, 13 times a year in concert with the Moon's gravitational pull on our bodies. Our monthly flows are Sacred Gifts that we have. Most women call it "the curse" they are "on the rag" and really dislike having to go through the often crampy, irritable, bloated feelings that most women have.
When we treat our periods as special, wonderfull, honour our bodies and ourselves as Sacred Vessels of the Divine we stop experiencing PMS.
It is only when we go against the natural flows of life that dis-ease appears. SO GO WITH YOUR FLOW. Let it Bleed! that was another pop album by the Rolling Stones many years ago. Seems the men have more to sing about this than women? Be proud of your periods. Be good to yourself honour your sacred blood, for it is the Blood of Life. It is the Holy Grail, your womb the Sacred Cup that holds the Blood. It was intimated in The Da Vinci Code that Mary Magdelane was the Holy Grail but to be more precise it was her Menstrual Blood, the Holy Blood that is the essence, which each woman has, that is in itself the Sacred Cauldron of Life.
Men do not partake directly through their physical bodies of this Mystery. The power to live, shed blood regularly and not die was seen in ancient times as magical and sacred. In fact they are envious of woman's power, they do have Venus Envy, not the other screwed up Freudian way of looking at it. You have been brainwashed to believe that this is so.
The word Taboo which menstruation has been linked to for thousands of years originally meant Sacred.
From the beginning of the time when female humans began their menstrual cycles, men were in awe by the power that women have to bleed and not die. They were seen as Immortal, like a snake who sheds its' skin but does not die. The connection between women, snakes and immortality are archetypal symbols. Snakes are also connected in Eastern Traditions with Kundalini energy, pictured as a snake coiled within the bottom of the spine. Kundalini energy is the human connection to the Divine, and menstrual energy is connected to that power too.
Talking about your period even though it has come "out of the closet" so to speak recently is still not seen in a positive light by most women and certainly a positive natural approach towards women's moon time hasn't "bled into" the mainstream- yet.

Menstruation used to be known as the curse. This is Judeo-Christian, and many other Patrirachal religions brainwashing technoque for dis-empowering women for thousands of years, like the cursing and defaming of Eve, Lillith etc.
Indiginous peoples such as Native Americans and Hawaiians honoured women's monthly bleeding cycles as Sacred. That time of the month was called Moon Time and Native Indian women went to Moon Lodges, huts,or shelters in the ground to set apart their regular cycles from their bleeding times. It was noted that women were at the height of their psychic powers when bleeding, and so that time set aside was not originally to shun them or see them as unclean but to empower them to be with their bodies, their blood flows, to dream, rest, and renew.
Women's menstrual blood was considered holy and powerfull, you and I and babies came from the same blood, it is pure and full of nutrients. Menstrual blood was scattered on fields to fertilize them. It is still a great fertilizer, and is recommended that you use your sacred moon blood on your house plants,or garden, dilluting with water and watch them bloom.

Before the advent of modern electric lighting all women bled at the same time. Ladies you know yourselves that this is still true today when women live together their cycles blend together and occur at about the same time, even with artificial light interfering with our cycles. Because our bodily rythyms are governed by the Moon, all women ovulated on the Full Moon, where a big bright ova shined down on the earth from the sky, and all women menstruated on the dark or New Moon. All women were psychically and physically joined together in their rhythms! Imagine the power of that!
Well of course it terrified the men,so what was originally considered scred became taboo. The name became twisted in its meaning as thousands of years of Patriarchal and religious rule took over.

A young girls menarche, or first menstruation was an occassion to celebrate. The girl was set apart, some endured tests and physical hardships as an initiation into adulthood, and perhaps to prepare her for the work of eventually being able to give birth. Evry young girl should be honoured as she becomes a woman at this time.

I want to say that this is a fantastic idea, as menstrual blood even though it has come "out of the closet" so to speak recently is still not seen in a positive light by mostwomen and certainly hasn't "bled into" the mainstream yet.

Menstrual blood must be re-imagined as a Holy, Sacred, Prescious Gift, not a curse, or something to be despised,or defiled.
It is what separates the men from the women. All PMS,like any other physical discomfort or disease, stems from the relationship we have to Spirit, to our bodies, emotions.
When we honour our periods as special times out, to allow ourselves to rest and renew as we shed our uterine linings like a snake sheds its' skin, we embody the life cycle mysteries, of birth, death, re-birth and transformation. Women are inherently living the life cycle, much more so than men.
Menstrual blood, like birthing blood is the only human blood that is shed naturally, not caused from physical harm, damage or injury and not linked to physical death. Therefore it it the Blood of Life.

Coming Back into Myself

Sacred Affirmation: Release of Burden by Takayu Bast
interpreted by Aja X

I breathe and breathe as I breathe it out

I release the negative baggage and doubt

I am all I need on air I fly

Breath in my ancestors that float on high

Oh Mother Auset I call on you

When I am lost show me what to do

I am your daughter eternally

Wisdom flow thru so I can see

I float and fly my cares away

Mentally manipulating my course and day

Lilith? The "snake" in the garden "initiating" so-called Eve?
Maybe...

The holy grail originally the womb? - blood not the blood of christ but from menstruation. hmmm. Research due.

"Women don't need religion. Religion was created for [men]. While we're doing this the women are sitting in the trees projecting their spirits off into the abyss and talking amongst themselves. If [women] were in this circle with [men] it would be too much power."

Cleansing

So I'm going to Trader Joe's this morning to look for some inexpensive, organic, vegetarian foods to start shaping my diet. I am currently fasting, sipping on some water from time to time, and I've resolved to drink healthy fruit juice's since I just received a manual juicer.

I found this cool food guide pyramid for vegans which I'm just gonna use as a basis and then incorporate my own needs and such in there.

I have a $100 budget for food.
And then I'm going to use whatever I need from my card to look about some vitamin supplements. Mos def. Because I am not goin' out like that lol. But that's not until tomorrow...

I'm in the process of making a shopping list (and checking it twice). I need to find a good nutrition site tho since I don't have my book from the class I took freshman/sophomore year. So off I go. Wish me luck children!

I'm definitely looking out for those things I saw in yesterdays video.

Another thing I will be doing today is (hopefully alongside my friend who I am trying to help better) realigning myself in space and time. We talked about how modernity/ colonialism disrupts the space time contiuum (in a sense) and this interview with Dr. York as well as Shamise's response really made me decide to realign myself so I can get back in tune with the universe.

This false sense of time has been beating me on the head for years. I remember telling Zack Waterman outside of Carroll hall, last year, how time isn't real. Well "this time" at least. And since my proclamation the universe has been going thru leaps and bounds to reveal to me that I was right.

Isn't the TRUTH so FREEING. *snickers*

[update 1:41 PM]
so i found these dope ass charts at wikipedia for the vitamins & minerals, and have written my shopping list accordingly.

getting dressed and ready to shop. peace family!

A Fast Journey

So, tomorrow I am going to restart my fast that I was originally observing with the Bahá'í Faith. I got like 5 days into it and crumbled, so this last week will definitely BE dedicated to recapturing that confidence I had two weeks ago.

WHEAT IS A HYBRID!? GO FIGURE! :-\ Another scam uncovered.

Check out these natural sweeteners -
  • Agave Syrup - from cactus plants
"remember Cain killed able.... and cain doesn't have a seed"
that's right nagus, stay away from sugar, do natural sweeteners instead

LOL.
--

So I will be fasting from March 15-21 (tomorrow - Next Sunday), from sunrise to sun set.
This next week is also my Spring Break, So this should be pretty chill.

The moon will rise and fall at these times in Washington, DC:

Mar 15, 2009 7:19 AM 7:15 PM
Mar 16, 2009 7:18 AM 7:16 PM
Mar 17, 2009 7:16 AM 7:17 PM
Mar 18, 2009 7:14 AM 7:18 PM
Mar 19, 2009 7:13 AM 7:19 PM
Mar 20, 2009 7:11 AM 7:20 PM
Mar 21, 2009 7:10 AM 7:21 PM

Which means I will be waking up and eating heartily at 6:30, then a snack at 7:00ish.
At 7:30 I will eat a hearty meal and Then a snack at 8:30. And then a light meal before bed at 10-10:30ish.

I'm excited to begin again. My soul is crying for it.

When I break fast on Sunday, 21 I will be a new vegetarian. My love agreed to chip in to the new grocery list (wish he would chip into me *pouts* or at least let me come around more so we could share in the bounty together, like sippin' smoothies and play fightin'. FUCK THAT I'M GONNA MAKE HIM MAKE TIME FOR ME DURING SPRING BREAK)

*steps down off soapbox*
Sorting thru my personals is getting increasingly easier, but definitely more intense than I ever thought it would be. It's just getting really lonely. I'm really dipping into myself and refusing to come out. When I do want to come out there always seems to be danger. And no one likes to come and find me really so, shrug. Better get used to the feeling.

Energy Readings:
Determineing Your Sign

The signs of the Kemetic Zodiac are based on the months of the Sidereal Calendar. The Sidereal Calendar represents a new approach to time division. Based on the star Sirius and the Orion constellation, it is the only calendar that uses an exact cycle for the division of time. Used before and during the Pharaonic period, this is the only calendar that is not based on socio-religious events.

How Does the Sidereal Calendar Work?

Each year is divided into twelve months of thirty days and one month of five days. The final month has one additional day every fourth year. The gregorian dates for the start and end of each month will vary due to inaccuracies in comparison to the Sidereal calendar.

Each month is governed by a God or Goddess who guides the destiny of those born within that month.

Month Gregorian Dates God/Goddess
Tehuti September 11(10) to October 10(9) Aishat (Isis)

Each month is divided into three dekans, or period of ten days. The ten-day week was the original length of a week; the introduction of a seven day week was purely a political decision and has no base in spritiuality or astronomy. The month of Nwt will have five days except for the great year (every four years determined by celestial measurements) when there will be six days.

So this is my guardian goddess:

Hakru:
Ruler of Mesut-Re

In all other years
Aug 6 to Sept 4

lioness Goddess, Hakru, is considered the creator Goddess who helps keep the order of the world. Hakru stays herself in her temple but takes a different form when she leaves it. When she is at peace she presents herself as the Goddess Cat, Bastet. This is for the joy and happiness of humans. When irritated, Hakru becomes Sekmet, the bloodthirsty warrior Goddess who delivers death and suffering as she wanders. These are the characteristics that we find in people born under her sign.

Batouala by Rene Maran

“When the rhythmic acceleration of the dance had finally peaked in a breathless convulsion of short shivering movements, the dancers became immobile, happy, enraptured” (87). Members of various tribes in this local African region come to participate in the Ganza, the communal release of chief Batouala’s village. Together men, women, and children commemorate the integral role of sex in a community’s ongoing history.

Every part of Batouala’s community is sexual. “The goats [are] muzzling the behinds of their females” as the day breaks (15). Animals are naturally inclined to desire sex, just as humans are. They do not follow any ‘rules,’ such as practicing it solely as a reproductive act, and act promptly on instinct. This suggests that sexual desire can transcend species or function as an intuitive and necessary process for survival. Batouala’s village shares a similar sexual openness that reflects just how integral sex is in their everyday lives. For instance, his eight wives feel “no awkwardness” in washing “their sexual parts” in plain view of Yassigui’ndja, his chief wife. In their eyes “it is useless to hide the sexual charms which N’Gakoura (God) has allotted” to each of us (28). By situating sex as a divine endowment, it becomes natural to embrace it and enact it. Incorporating it into every aspect of life also becomes a means of thanksgiving for this special gift.

A sexually liberated society becomes more tangible within this scope. Polygamy’s seeming exploitation of feminine sexuality emerges as a logical, common law that complements a higher law. Since customs allowed nursing wives to take maternity leave for “twenty-four to thirty-six moons at a time,” a husband is “authorized to annex to his original household as many wives as he can feed” to release him “from the taboo imposed on the… mother” (44-45). Quite frankly, open masculine sexual exploits are justified as needs because sex is central to their society. Unfaithful partnership is similarly rationalized, especially for Yassigui’ndja. Though she is the first wife of a chief she shamelessly yearns for different men throughout the novel and blatantly pursues Batouala’s comrade Bissibi’ngui. “She had wanted to be able to taste [a white man’s] embraces so that she could compare them to those of Batouala,” despite rumors of their bad sex (48). Her lust does not demonize her, however, because it is her human nature, a necessity. Instead it leads her to pursue “the hunger she had for [Bissibi’ngui]” (36). After all he had summoned her and,

“A woman should never refuse the desire of a man, especially when that man pleases her. That is a functional principle. The only law is instinct. Cheating on one’s man is not so important, or rather it ought not to be” (36).

Batouala’s society obviously heralds sexual desires for they manipulate certain laws, principles, and practices to include it.

If “the only law is instinct,” then the pleasure principle will always trump any vows or traditions. This is why “even perversions and sins against customs are allowed during the sacred Ga’nza (85). For instance, Yassigui’ndja can wear the “painted wooden phallus” and satisfy her desire as the male figure” in the dance with a virgin girl (86). Homosexuality, a traditional taboo, is pardoned in this case because it is still sex. It is to be worshipped in this instant as an unrestrained communal act. Everyone must recognize N’Gakoura’s endowments and welcome new initiates into mystical adulthood. During this mass frenzy there are also “fights and raucous cries” suggesting struggle and discomfort. The dance aims to produces “sexual drunkenness” (87). Moral values are momentarily sidelined for a greater necessity. Differing tribes unite to release tensions in a way that best honors their most sacred and natural godly gift. Despite minor violence and uncanny lewdness, the Ga’nza reflects the people’s holistic love for themselves, their habitat, and their history.
